Meta and AI content
The 2 questions marketers ask about Meta, each answered from Meta's own policy rather than someone's summary of it.

Does Meta label AI images on Facebook and Instagram?
Yes. Meta applies AI labels to images it detects as AI-generated across Facebook, Instagram, and Threads, using industry provenance signals attached to the file.
Meta applies this automatically. Worth considering warning clients in advance, since edited photos can pick up the tag too.

Will AI posts get us less reach on Meta?
Meta has not published a rule that AI content is downranked for being AI. The label is about provenance. Reach still comes down to the usual signals and the content rules everyone follows.
No published penalty for AI itself. Worth considering judging the creative on its own terms instead of blaming the label.
